Day 3

Tyler awoke to a bouquet of freshly picked flowers while we sang happy birthday. Our long but adventurous journey of white water rafting, hot springs and camping awaited us.

The drive threw the Andes Mountains was breath taking beautiful full of valleys, waterfalls and rivers as we climbed to over 15000 feet.

The Andes Mountains are the longest and one of the highest mountain ranges in the world. They are located in South America and stretch 4,500 miles from north to south, along the west coast of the continent.

At the top of the summit, we stopped to celebrate Tyler’s 11 birthday.above the clouds. When we arrived at the rafting site, the guide gave us a safety briefing as we donned our lifejackets. We took the rapids head on and discovered the waterproof pants I purchased were just a marketing gimmick. In the end, we were grateful that we worked as a team, no one went overboard and we did not need to use any safety techniques.
